Bolstered with $20,000 in contributions, Seattle-based documentarians Benjamin Drummond and Sara Joy Steele have begun work on a new series focusing on the Pacific Northwest.

One of the grants came from the Kongsgaard-Goldman Foundation for $8,000 and the other is from the Rockefeller Brothers Fund for $12,000. Their previous work includes a documentary on Mozambique's First Optometrists, ecosystem services in Tanzania and climate change.

Over the summer and fall we received two generous contributions that allow us to focus on our new series of stories from the Pacific Northwest through this spring.
