The new PC-E Nikkor 24mm f/3.5D ED wide-angle lens by Nikon is the latest in a series of lenses that offer a tilt/shift mechanism enabling the photographer the ability to manipulate perspective.

The Perspective Control lens gives users an 11.5mm shift in both directions and an 8.5-degree tilt in either direction. This mechanism can be especially useful when capturing tall objects such as trees and buildings and for close-up macro work with a focusing distance as close as 0.7 feet. The lens also features an electromagnetic diaphragm that automatically controls aperture with the newest Nikon DSLRs.

The PC-E Nikkor 24mm f/3.5D ED will be available this spring at an estimated retail price of $1,929.
