Canon has released three new PowerShot consumer-end cameras, all of which offer HD video, intelligent image stabilization, 32 different shooting scenes and high-speed burst mode.

The PowerShot Elph 510 HS is an ultrathin compact camera with 12x optical zoom and a 28mm wide-angle lens. As an added feature, the 510 HS has a touch-screen shutter release function. With 12.1-megapixel resolution, the 510 HS retails for $349.

The PowerShot Elph 310 HS, which has the same wide-angle lens, does sacrifice a little in terms of zoom capabilities (it reaches only 8x). Both Elphs, however, have been upgraded with Canon’s HS System to take better photos in low light and capture full 1080p HD video. Housed in a purple, blue, pink, green or silver case, the 310 sells for $259.

Finally, the PowerShot SX150 IS has 14.1-megapixel resolution, 12x wide-angle optical zoom and a 28mm lens. However, unlike both Elph models, the SX150 IS shoots only 720p HD video. Available in black and red, the SX150 IS retails for $249.
