Samsung has released a new line of cameras, the NX10 — a compact, mirrorless product with 14.6-megapixel resolution, a larger APS-C sensor, a brighter AMOLED screen and faster autofocus.

The APS-C mirrorless sensor is 1.5 times as large as a traditional 4:3 sensor, and it reduces the size of the camera by 15 percent to 87 x 123mm. The improved, 3-inch AMOLED screen now allows users to view images on the monitor at any angle and in any lighting condition, including acute angles and bright sunlight. A new autofocus DRIMe II Pro engine allows for quicker contrast-detect autofocusing.

To accompany this new NX line lens mount, Samsung will release an 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 kit lens, a 50-200mm telezoom and a 30mm f/2 pancake lens for the camera.

The NX10 with the 18-55 mm lens is available in two colors, black and silver, and will retail for around $699.
