Fujifilm has introduced its newest SLR-styled camera: the FinePix S100FS. The 11-megapixel digital camera uses a lens design that combines the 14.3x Fujinon lens and Fujifilm's eighth-generation Super CCD sensor as a single unit. It also borrows a feature set housed in the FinePix S5 Pro.

The "FS" designation denotes the camera's film simulation bracketing capabilities. This mode allows the photographer to select the ideal film mode for the scene and optimize it for tone and color. The S100FS also features dynamic range and AE bracketing.

The S100FS comes equipped with Fujifilm's Face Detection 2.0 technology, which can detect up to 10 subjects within the frame and automatically correct for focus and exposure. The RP (Real Photo) III Processor allows for shooting up to 50 shots at seven frames per second, while a Dual Image Stabilization feature helps to reduce blur caused by subject movement.

Images can be viewed on the 2.5-inch LCD display and captured as JPEG or RAW format on xD, SD or SDHC memory cards.

The FinePix S100FS retails for $799.
