Vimeo has debuted Vimeo Video School, an online education hub that houses over 800 lessons, tips, and tutorials for beginning to advanced video makers.
Vimeo Video School includes Video 101, a series of videos for beginners that covers step-by-step instructions on choosing the right camera, shooting tips and simple editing techniques. The site also covers "how to" videos with an eight-video series called DSLR Basics with videographer Philip Bloom. Other subjects include lighting, audio and gear.
All lessons are short, simple-to-follow tutorials that combine videos, written explanations, photos, external links and a takeaway "lesson challenge."
New lessons will be posted every week and will be selected from hundreds of user-generated video tutorials created by Vimeo members. They can be found at vimeo.com/videoschool.
