Panasonic has announced its Lumix DMC-G1, the first camera based on the new Micro Four Thirds System standard, which eliminates the internal mirror of digital SLRs, thereby reducing size and weight. The new Lumix DMC-L10 is Panasonic's latest addition to its digital SLR camera line. The camera features a Supersonic Wave Filter system that prevents dust from collecting on the sensor and comes with a 10.1-megapixel Live MOS Sensor and a 2.5-inch Live View LCD monitor that can rotate 270 degrees. The camera has an optical image stabilizer, advanced scene modes and autofocusing methods, including 9-point autofocus, multi, 3-point autofocus, one-point autofocus and spot.

The DMC-L10 is Panasonic's first SLR to feature Face Detection, allowing the camera to focus and detect up to 15 faces in a single image.
