Terry Lorant Gives Attention to Plight of Women with Breast Cancer in New Photo Book

Breast cancer survivors share their stories in “Reconstructing Aphrodite,” a book of photography and commentary focusing on women who have opted for breast reconstruction. Photographer Terry Lorant worked with plastic surgeon Lauren Eskenazi to celebrate the health and reconstruction of 20 cancer survivors. Lorant’s black-and-white photographs capture the stark reality of emotions expressed by each of the women.
