Former Getty Images executive Mark Ippolito has been named senior vice president of worldwide sales for OnRequest Images, based in Seattle.

In his new role, Ippolito will be responsible for developing business opportunities. He formerly served as Getty Images' vice president for global major account sales, as vice president of sales and marketing for Photodisc, and as director of sales at Corbis.

Gregg Stallings has been named president of MediaVast's newly formed WireImageStock. Stallings spent the last three years as director of sales and service for the Americas at Corbis. Prior to that, he was at the Image Bank and Pictor International in Los Angeles.

Chase Jarvis has joined the Corbis roster of photographers. Images by the Seattle-based action sports photographer have been featured on the covers of Freeskier, Bike and Horizon magazines, as well as in marketing and advertising campaigns.

J.P. Pappis, a 22-year industry veteran, has launched Polaris Images, a new agency based in New York City. Pappis is the former executive editor of Sygma Photo News and Corbis Sygma, and also served as editor-in-chief of Gamma Press USA.

Brian Storm has left MSNBC.com to accept a position as vice president of news and editorial photography at Corbis, a digital media agency owned by Bill Gates.
