Ideal for professional event and portrait photographers, Canon’s new 7DSV SLR offers “locking” camera controls and an organizational bar-coding system.

Four levels of password-protected access allow for camera settings to be “locked” in and help to maintain more consistent photo shoots when there are multiple users. Administrators can also set custom functionality within each tier level to allow certain users greater flexibility when operating the camera.

Hal Fischer Appointed SF Camerawork Gallery Interim Director

Hal Fischer, an independent consultant in the nonprofit sector since 1984, has been appointed interim director of the SF Camerawork Gallery.

Fischer has worked with organizations such as San Diego's Timken Museum of Art and San Francisco's Asian Art Museum and For-Site Foundation. He is also a recipient of National Endowment for the Arts fellowships in art criticism and photography.

Fischer will fill this position while SF Camerawork conducts a nationwide search for the gallery's next executive director through the end of the year.
