Pentax Optio Z10, Optio S10 Arrive

p>Pentax has introduced two new digital compact cameras, the Optio Z10 and Optio S10. The Optio S10 is the seventh DivX-certified digital camera from Pentax.

The Optio Z10 has a 7X optical zoom refraction lens, so it doesn't protrude from the camera while zooming, and ranges from wide-angle to telephoto zoom. The camera's body design features a sliding lens cover for protection that operates the on/off camera setting. Pentax Imaging has launched a third digital SLR camera, the *ist DL. Continuing with the line's compact style, the new model's body weighs 16.6 ounces and has a 2.5-inch LCD monitor.

Pentax Unveils First Digital 645

At the Spring Tokyo Trade Show, Pentax presented its first 645 digital medium-format camera. The professional-quality camera has a Pentax 645 autofocus mount, and is compatible with existing smc Pentax 645 interchangeable lenses. The camera also features a Kodak extra-large CCD image sensor with 18.6 total megapixels.
