THE FUTURE

Comments

Later this year, Dean plans to begin work on another major undertaking called "Ghosts Over the Land."  For the project, she will travel across America to document the state of Native American communities.

For other photographers who are aspiring to follow in Dean's footstep, she recommends "Look at a lot of work, a lot of really good work, such as the working documentary photographers of the past and contemporary photographers," she says.

"I think knowing what's come before you and what's happening around you is really important. So, too, is knowing the history of photography. I think it helps a lot in becoming a better photographer."
