Hindsight Unveils New Metamachine Software

HindSight has announced the arrival of a new software product called METAmachine. The simplified browsing utility program streamlines the process of adding keywords, licenses and other metadata to individual or packaged images. The program reads and writes XMP-formatted metadata in TIFF, JPEG, PSD and DNG images.

METAmachine can be used to write a complete set of the IPTC standard metadata into images or to add copyright and contact information or licensing terms, leaving unaltered all other metadata already present in the images. ShootSmarter Breaks Ground

ShootSmarter University in Aurora, Ill., recently finished construction of its new facility. The 6,200-square-foot building includes six shooting bays fitted with up-to-date equipment. The facility has been designed to provide natural lighting conditions as well as artificial ones. Studios have a choice of Mac or PC rolling workstations and Monaco calibrated monitors and printers. The file processing room contains five computer stations complete with printers and a 5,000-dpi scanner.

ShootSmarter offers four-day courses that feature hands-on training. Current offerings include Image Control, Color Management, Monitor Calibration, Creativity, Business Strategy and Effective Workflow.

Mamiya Releases 22-MP Prodigital II DSLR

Mamiya has recently launched the new 645AFD II, which seamlessly supports both film and digital capture all in one camera system and incorporates the latest auto focusing technology.
