Pretec has unveiled the 666X CF, a CompactFlash card that is four times faster than a traditional CF card.

With speeds of 100MB per second, only 33MB per second slower than the theoretical maximum speed for CF cards, the 666X is housed in a metal case to make it 10 times more durable than most CompactFlash devices.

The 666X CF card is available in sizes ranging from 4GB to 64GB. The prices for each were not yet announced at press time.
